If I could only read one book for the rest of my life on repeat it would be this one! I know it has its confusing and somewhat mundane moments but you won't regret sticking with it.
I love it. I'm grateful my friend and I are reading it slowly, too. It allows me to pay close attention to her beautiful long sentences. I wonder if you have read Kristin Lavransdatter. That is a book I would add to the "reading on repeat" list.
I don't know if I'd say it's similar, but it is magnificent. I do think one similarity that runs through both of them is the exploration (or lack thereof) of a woman having feelings, thoughts, and desires (and the privilege to act upon them) for herself. But with books like these, I know I'm barely scratching the surface (which is why a "read on repeat" list is essential).

I appreciate that insight. A book that doesn't give you all the "answers" right away is far more appealing in my opinion.
