What a great example from Michelle in how to take up space! I, too, have trouble with this and am so inspired by how she handled it!

I wish I didn't have a hard time taking up space, but I'm grateful for this lesson. We'll keep at it, yeah?

This is amazing. I want to come to your class! When I was in a residential program for depression, one of my favorite group classes was dance movement therapy. It’s where I learned to take up space too.

Dance Movement Therapy sounds like a great class!

This is so powerful, Callie. In so many ways we women learn to not take up space. So grateful you have dance as a space where you can.

And this reminds me of a voice lesson, when I finally got the Schubert Ave Maria, and my music director said, "Did you hear that? You filled up this entire church."

Oh, I believe that. Your music director/voice teacher is quite the Gandolf of mentors, methinks.

This was a good reminder for me today Callie!

I wrote a poem earlier this year about filling up the space you were made for and this reminded me of just that at a time when I wonder if I am doing that the right way.

I promise you are doing this the right way. Always, always.

Oh how I love this! I do strength training twice a week and it's been shocking how empowering it is to me to take up space.

Thank you, Ashley. I truly need the physical lesson to understand what it means to take up space.

That was a powerful day. Thanks for unpacking it, and helping me re-learn the lesson.

I feel like I re-learn it every time we dance. Walking back into the studio each week has been pretty powerful. I don't know if I'll ever forget it. I hope not.
